The Registered Manager will ensure that Vine Recruitment Solutions is always represented in a professional and positive manner by ensuring the service is running to a high standard and to uphold those standards in every aspect of the service.

The Registered Manager role is a part-time role to start with, in preparation for CQC registration then part-time to full-time upon successful CQC registration.

The Registered Manager will need to ensure that all staff are supported in their day-to-day duties. Applicants should have a positive attitude and passion for this sector.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver a successful CQC registration as the Registered Manager
  • To supervise the team to ensure they deliver a highly effective service to people we support (mainly adults)
  • To liaise with stakeholders and ensure accurate information is recorded, shared and acted upon at all times
  • To ensure that staff receive, review, read and adhere to accurate risk assessments to safeguard service users
  • To ensure that people we support are achieving their targets to enable them to develop independent living skills successfully
  • To ensure maintenance issues are identified and handed over to contractors in a timely manner - to log and follow up on
  • To comply with Vine Recruitment policies and procedures
  • Attend all professional meetings such as LAC reviews, Strategy Meetings, Care Planning Meetings, and Risk Management Meetings
  • Weekly feedbacks are completed on time and to a high standard. To ensure weekly reports are sent to relevant professionals
  • Act as an escalation point for service users/staff and professionals to receive, record, and resolve any issues in a positive and timely way
  • Apply the correct protocol, immediately, upon any suspicion, evidence, or allegation of any concern in relation to child protection, in accordance with Vine Recruitment's policies and procedures
  • Ensure concerns and reasons for them are properly identified and logged using the correct forms and communicated effectively to relevant parties in the right time frames
  • Conduct monthly supervisions for the team, ensuring they are performing their role competently, recognizing good performance, and work with human resources to address any performance or conduct issues
  • Induct and train new team members and ensure they are aware of current legal, professional, and administrative practices and procedures that apply within Vine Recruitment
  • Cover any gaps on shift or provide a second person on duty, until relief staff can be secured
  • Conduct inductions for new members of staff
  • Guide and support staff, assisting them in their professional development and advising them in relation to behavior management and de-escalation with people we support, promoting independence
  • Liaise with colleagues and professionals to review support levels
  • Network with local businesses/colleges to identify work experience/training opportunities for service users and work with key workers to ensure people we support are engaging in education, employment, or training
  • Work with the team to ensure people we support's weekly planners and progress reports are completed on a weekly to fortnightly basis, indicating people we support productivity and completion of activities
  • Life Skills Programmes and Pathway Plans being completed on time and actions are followed up appropriately
  • Ensure all staff (including yourself) promote, acknowledge and respect the privacy, dignity, diversity, rights, and responsibilities of service users to enable them to meet their goals and aspirations and to build and maintain their self-worth and individuality
  • The ideal candidate will need to be proactive within their approach
  • Have a good amount of experience within the care sector at management at level NVQ/QCF/RQCF Level 5 - Leadership & Management for Adult Services (Essential)
  • Must have experience working in Semi-independent/Supported living settings
  • Must have experience with CQC registration and inspection framework
  • Hold an enhanced DBS that is registered with the DBS update service
  • Have experience working with service users leaving care, with emotional and behavioral difficulties
